Egypt II, Cassetta wins the Italian derby against Abbate and Graziotti: second consecutive win with Gonzalez

Marco Cassetta and Josè Luis Gonzalez confirm their victory in Egypt. The Italian-Spanish pair won the FIP Silver Egypt II, which took place this weekend in Beheira. The two, fresh off their win at FIP Silver Egypt I, earned 80 points for the FIP ranking, reaching positions 93 and 91. This victory confirms their great start to 2025, achieved by winning the final against the Italian pair Abbate-Graziotti 6-4, 6-4. The two Italians, with eight trophies won in the CUPRA FIP Tour in their careers, are now forced to postpone catching up with Jairo Bautista as the most successful players in the history of the circuit.

“You’re number one, Jey, but only in padel. In cards and ping pong, better not mention your results,” were Cassetta’s ironic words to his partner during the celebrations for their victory.
