Day 5. From Miami to Chile, same finals as a week ago.  Brea-Triay and Chingalan for the double

A week after the finals of the motorola razr Miami Premier Padel P1, it will be the same four pairs playing for the titles in Chile. Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria against Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay in the women’s draw, Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan against Juan Lebron and Franco Stupaczuk in the men’s one: on the decisive day of the Santiago P1, it will also be show. Sunday’s finals, on the Banco de Chile court, will start at 6 p.m. local time, 11 p.m. CET.

 

WOMEN Brea and Triay’s start to the season has been impressive, and shows the Argentine and the Spaniard’s desire to reach the top of the ranking. Delfi and Gemma, who have yet to lose a set in this tournament, will be chasing their fourth title in a row after those in Gijon, Cancun and Miami, thanks to a 6-1 6-2 win over Ale Alonso and Andrea Ustero at the end of a dominating semi-final that lasted only 56 minutes. The other semi-final, on the other hand, was more balanced, with Sanchez and Josemaria who, in two hours and 41 minutes and after losing 6-2 in the first set, were able to come back against Claudia Fernandez and Bea Gonzalez, closing 2-6 6-3 6-3.

 

MEN It also took a comeback for Lebron and Stupaczuk in the first of the two men’s semifinals: the ‘Lobo’ and the Argentinean stopped the run of Juan Tello and Tino Libaak, who had nonetheless managed to win the first set (6-3) before a physical problem for Libaak conditioned the rest of the match, with the tournament’s number 3 seed winning 3-6 6-3 6-1 in an hour and 36′. The second semi-final, on the other hand, lasted an hour and 25 minutes, with Chingotto and Galan, who after winning in Miami a week ago, secured their encore thanks to a 7-6 6-2 victory over Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas.
