Day 1. Show begins on Rafa Nadal’s club: three Mexican pairs on court today

In last days, a video of Rafa Nadal playing padel has gone viral on social media. The Spanish tennis legend has been familiar with the sport for years, and in his academies around the world there are of course padel courts. At the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Costa Mujeres, the main draw of the Cancun Premier Padel P2 has begun, with the first four matches of the men’s main draw: victories for Youssef Hossam and Julian Lacamoire, for Clement Geens and Alejandro Jerez (8), for Manuel Castaño and Nicolas Suescun and for Emiliano Iriart and Mauro Agustin Salandro.

Today there are 16 matches scheduled, eight from the men’s draw and eight from the women’s draw, which will define the picture of the round of 16: great expectations for the Mexican players, who will try to ignite the Cancun crowd in the last three matches scheduled in the Cancha Estadio. First Luisa Fernanda De La Pena and Camila Ramme, then Luis Enrique Barrientos and Juan Pablo Castillo, closing with Diego Arredondo and José Pablo Padilla.
