Damac Dubai, Vasquez and Axelsson earn their second consecutive win and climb the FIP ranking

Simon Vasquez and Adam Axelsson have done it again. The Swedish pair triumphed this weekend in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), where the second FIP Gold tournament of the season took place. The two, born in 1992 and 2005, won the 150 points on offer, repeating their success at the FIP Bronze Sweden I Bon Padel last week and reaching their best career ranking: they are now ranked 99th and 133rd in the world. The Swedish pair beat Joris and Figuerola in the final with a score of 7-5, 6-4. “We were amazing, proud to be the champions of a FIP Gold. Now let’s keep going like this,” said Simon Vasquez after the win.

In the women’s draw, the victory also went to the second-seeded pair: the Spanish players Barbara Las Heras and Esther Carnicero won the final against Lujan and Arellano with a score of 7-6, 6-3.
