Rio Grande Brazil. Ribeiro-Lopez win their first tournament of the season in pairs

The FIP Bronze Rio Grande Brazil lived up to expectations and provided lots of excitement. The winners were the number 1 seeded pair, made up of Patri Ribeiro and Amanda Lopez Moral. This is the first win for the duo, while Lopez Moral (a 2008-born talent) had recently celebrated a victory at the FIP Rise Kaunas last November. The Portuguese and Spanish players earned 40 points in the FIP ranking after their final win against the number 2 seeded pair, consisting of Portuguese Catarina Santos (ranked 103) and Mexican Camilla Ramme (ranked 105), with a score of 6-1, 6-4.

“We’re happy with the win in Rio Grande… how well you played, partner” said Patri Ribeiro, one of the most experienced players on the circuit, right after the celebrations for their strong start to the season.
