Rio Grande Brazil, Melendez-Dominguez lead the draw at the first event of the Cupra FIP Tour in Brazil

The CUPRA FIP Tour returns to Rio Grande, Brazil. This weekend, a FIP Silver tournament will take place with a draw of 32 pairs. Leading the entry list are the Spanish player Alvaro Melendez (finalist at the FIP Rise Betsson Sweden III in 2024) and the Italian Facundo Dominguez, finalist at the FIP Rise Porto Sant’Elpidio last August and fourth at the FIP World Padel Championship in November 2024 with the Italian national team. The two players, ranked 81st and 67th, are followed as the number 2 seeds by José Luis Gonzalez (who has moved up two spots in the rankings and is now 108th) and Marco Cassetta (107th), finalists at the FIP Bronze Qatar in the most recent tournament of the circuit.

The competition will take place over the weekend from Friday, February 14 to Sunday, February 16 in Rio Grande and will offer 80 points in the FIP ranking to the winners.
