Double event in Perugia and Asuncion Young padel talents return to Paraguay after the FIP Juniors World Padel Championships

Young padel talents return to Paraguay. The 2025 FIP Promises circuit continues and, after tournaments in Spain, Qatar, Brazil, and Germany, now it’s time for two more big events: the FIP Promises Fastweb Perugia I and the FIP Promises Asuncion I, scheduled for this weekend. The youngest padel talents will be in the spotlight in Asuncion again after the FIP Juniors World Padel Championships in November 2023, where Spain triumphed. This event shows the growth of padel in Paraguay, as demonstrated by the recent results of the talented Facundo Dehnike, the youngest ever to reach the semifinals of a Premier Padel tournament (he will turn 17 years old on August 21st) in Gijón.

In Paraguay, there will be Under 12, Under 14, and Under 16 categories, with the pairs Warkentin -Unger Rey and Trussy-Drozdowski leading the Under 12 and Under 14 men’s draws. In Under 16, we have Bareiro and Contreras. In the women’s draws, the names of Maria Warkentin and Romina Lee in Under 12, Siena Guerrero and Ivanna Osorio in Under 14, and Tamara Tonanes and Suri Troche in Under 16 stand out.

Also, in the Perugia tournament, there will be Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 categories for both men and women. Among the youngest, the top players are Matias Giacomi/Filippo Donateo and Sophie Lucernoni/Ludovica Salvi. As seeded pairs, we find Leonardo Villa and Alessandro Spanò in Under 14 men’s, Penelope Mani and Sophie Caruso in Under 14 women’s, while Andrea Di Martino and Alessandro Stella are number one in Under 16 men’s. In the women’s draw, we have Emma Speziali and Lucrezia Piernera. For Under 18 men’s, the names of Mattia Di Bari and Stefano Indomenico stand out, while in the women’s draw, we have Matilde Minelli and Vittoria Giraldi.
