Training courses for the professional coach ‘license’ arrive, mandatory for FIP competitions

The FIP officially enters the world of coaching with training courses dedicated to the professional coach role. And it does so with its usual ‘vision’ projected towards a future that, in addition to accelerating the growth of padel worldwide, ensures the highest level of professionalism, organization, and high standards of training, preparation, and education, even for those responsible for training players. The role of the coach, as is the case in high-level professional sports, has taken on such a significant dimension in padel that it requires a new interpretation of this figure through a series of initiatives aimed at rationalizing and enhancing its professional and career aspects.

For this reason, the FIP has decided to sign an agreement — an accurate and detailed ‘memorandum of understanding’ — with the prestigious PPPCA (Professional Padel Players Coaches Association), signed by FIP President Luigi Carraro and the President of the Coaches Association, Francisco Javier Sanchez.

THE COURSES Thanks to its collaboration with the PPPCA, the FIP has developed a series of courses at different levels to enter the profession — allowing currently active coaches the necessary time to obtain the License without interrupting their professional activity — and the subsequent issuance of a coach license, which will be essential to practice the profession in FIP competitions and in the professional circuits governed by the Federation. Additionally, the creation of an official FIP professional registry is planned.

The courses will be conducted in close collaboration with the PPPCA and national federations. Details and information on how to access the courses that grant the professional license will be communicated shortly through an official statement.
