Torchio Padelshot, Nati Lopez Diaz in history: CUPRA FIP Tour’s most successful woman

A title to become the best woman in the history of the CUPRA FIP Tour: Nati Lopez Diaz – 27 years old and number 90 in the FIP ranking – won her eighth tournament on the International Padel Federation circuit. Paired with Aida Martinez, Lopez Diaz won the FIP Bronze Torchio Padelshot in Mondeville (France), thanks to a victory in the final over Claudia Escacena and Aitana Garcia (7-5 7-6).
Nati, who won her first title in Ceuta in 2023 and took home a further six trophies in 2024, thus becomes the first woman to eight titles on the CUPRA FIP Tour, joining players such as Gonzalo Rubio, Jeremy Scatena, Fran Guerrero, Giulio Graziotti and Flavio Abbate, -1 in the overall ranking from Jairo Bautista who leads with nine.
“What a joy to have won this tournament in France – she said –. I thank the tournament organisation, Aida and the whole team who allowed us to bring home this title”. The men’s tournament was won by Diego Garcia and Javier Núñez, thanks to a 6-1 7-6 victory over Pepe Aliaga and Marcos Cordoba, the number 1 seed.
