La Cala, Moragues and Sintes restart with a title

The 2024 finale of Nacho Moragues and Marc Sintes had been extraordinary, with three CUPRA FIP Tour titles won between Kaunas (Lithuania), Oeiras (Portugal) and Perugia (Italy). The two young Spaniards started the new year as they had finished the previous one, lifting the trophy in the FIP Bronze La Cala, played in Finestrat (Spain): Sintes and Moragues defeated the number 1 seeded pair of Agustin Torre and Alvaro Cepero in the final with a score of 6-4 3-6 6-4.

Instead, the women’s tournament was won by Italian Emily Stellato and Spanish Carmen Castillon, the number 4 seed, who beat the number 1 seed Lucia Peralta and Ariadna Cañellas in three sets (6-2 5-7 7-5). “We are off to a great start this year – Stellato said –.
