In Venezia the final stage of the FIP circuit for young talents
December 19, 2024
If in Barcelona the champions of today are on the court, in Venezia (Italy) it will be a weekend dedicated to the future champions. The FIP Promises Finals will be played: this will be the final stage of the International Padel Federation’s circuit built for the development of young talents, with ever-increasing numbers. From 3 tournaments in 2021 to 12 in 2022, 18 in 2023 and 41 in 2024, demonstrating how the FIP – in synergy with the national federations – is strongly committed to the growth of the youth sectors.
Six draws are planned at the Venezia Padel Club, with the Under 18, Under 16 and Under 14 categories for both women and men, and on the court the youngsters in the top positions of the FIP youth rankings. The formula is the same for the six competitions: group stage with two round robins and the first two pairs of each round qualifying for the semifinals. Matches will start on Friday with the first two ties of the group stage; Saturday morning the third day and, in the afternoon, the semifinals. On Sunday, however, the finals are scheduled, which will award the titles. Among the boys, the presence of Aaron Garcia (in the middle of the photo), born in 2009 and already winner of a CUPRA FIP Tour tournament, the FIP Promotion of La Nucía, stands out in the Under 16 category.
These are the number 1 seeded players:
Under 18 men: Noe Sanchez-Pablo Reina (Spain)
Under 18 women: Aurora Buscaino-Valentina Varazi (Italy)
Under 16 men: Vicente Soto (Chile)-Aaron Garcia (Spain)
Under 16 women: Bianca Ferretti-Lucrezia Piernera (Italy)
Under 14 men: Gianmarco Moscuzza-Tommaso Rufo (Italy)
Under 14 women: Amaya Sanchez-Naia Santisteban (Spain)
