Abu Dhabi, First success in the CUPRA FIP Tour for Caro and Vega. Icardo and Jurado return to victory in the men’s draw.

The final tournament of the 2024 CUPRA FIP Tour concluded in Abu Dhabi. In the women’s main draw, the Spanish-Argentine duo of Ángela Caro and María Vega claimed the title, defeating Gimena Sol and Silvia López in the final with a score of 6-4 7-6. For Caro and Vega, this is their first career victory in a CUPRA FIP Tour event.

In the men’s draw, featuring 32 pairs, the top-seeded team of Sergio Icardo and Francisco Jurado emerged victorious. They defeated Alejandro Jerez and Manuel Aragón in 2 sets (6-4 6-1). Icardo and Jurado, who represented the UAE team at the FIP World Padel Championships in Doha, returned to winning form in the CUPRA FIP Tour after their last success two months ago at the FIP Promotion in Dubai.

The final event of the CUPRA FIP Tour will take place from December 11 to 15 in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, with the CUPRA FIP Finals.
