Viña del Mar II, Rubini and Gayone on court as opponents

This weekend, the CUPRA FIP Tour returns to Viña del Mar, a Chilean city that has already hosted some CUPRA FIP Tour events in 2024 and also the women’s South American Qualifiers of the FIP World Padel Championships. A men’s FIP Rise will be played, where Argentines Axel William Guevara and Manuel Gayone will try to win the title, which they missed in July when they were defeated in the final.

Guevara and Gayone will be the number 2 seed in a draw led by another Argentine, Juan Ignacio Rubini, and Italian Teo Gamondi. Rubini and Gayone, opponents in Chile, won the title a few days ago in the FIP Star in Aguascalientes. There will be 27 pairs on the court in Viña del Mar, with the top five seeded players going straight into the round of 16.
