Milano Premier Padel P1 2024, the show returns to the Allianz Cloud: from December 2nd to 8th the third edition, world stars on court. Carraro: “Let’s get ready to experience something unique”

‘Let the show begin’, with the best players on the planet, the reigning world champions, the sprint in the FIP Race for a place in the Finals in Barcelona and the great show of the Allianz Cloud. The Milano Premier Padel P1, presented today at the Palazzo Reale, is the best that padel can offer to fans of the sport: from December 2nd to 8th, the extraordinary indoor atmosphere of the Allianz Cloud will stage the third edition of the tournament that has become a ‘Classic’ of the professional circuit governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP) with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI).

“Thanks to the tenacity of Councillor Martina Riva, the name ‘Milano’ is within the name of the tournament, because of the global exposure that the city of Milan will have with this event – said FIP President Luigi Carraro –. An event that gets better and better and that this year will have a novelty, because it will be the last one in the Premier Padel circuit before the Barcelona Finals and the last of a legend like Fernando Belasteguin. Milan has earned this very important role: it is the last Premier tournament of the season and it is played in a jewel like the Allianz Cloud that has something magical about it, in an extraordinary week, just a few days before Christmas. The players we live daily know this and can’t wait to come to Milan. We are ready for another great extraordinary edition: if in the first two years we experienced unique emotions, let’s get ready for something even more spectacular”.

THE PROTAGONISTS It will start from last year’s more than 30.000 spectators, and from a men’s final that has rightfully entered the history of padel: the one won 7-6 6-7 7-6 by Juan Lebron and Ale Galan at the end of an incredible battle with Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno. This year, Galan is paired with Argentinean Federico Chingotto, and with the ‘pareja’ formed by Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, he’s the protagonist of an endless challenge that in Milano could live another chapter. Chingotto and Tapia, by the way, recently became world champions in the FIP World Padel Championships in Doha with the Argentine national team, and with them also Stupaczuk, Di Nenno, Chozas, Augsburger, Libaak and legend Sanyo Gutierrez. A legend like another Argentinean, Fernando Belasteguin, who in Milan will play his last professional tournament of an extraordinary career that has crowned him as the athlete with the highest number of trophies won in the history of this sport. At the Allianz Cloud they will all be there, as will Spain’s female world champions: from Paula Josemaria to Ari Sanchez, from Gemma Triay to Claudia Fernandez, to Ale Salazar, Jessica Castelló, Marta Ortega and Bea Gonzalez, the latter a champion in the Milano Premier Padel P1 2023 paired with Delfi Brea of Argentina. The one in Milano will be the third event in Italy of a circuit that since 2024 has become the only world tour of padel (with 24 tournaments in 16 different countries), after the Major in Roma and the P2 in Genova, and will be broadcast in over 200 countries, with Milan therefore once again in the spotlight for a major international event. And on the court there will also be many of the Azzurri protagonists of the FIP World Padel Championships in Doha: the women’s team (including Carolina Orsi, Chiara Pappacena and Giorgia Marchetti) won the bronze medal, while the men’s team won a historic semifinal and an equally historic fourth place. There will be 48 pairs at the start of the men’s draw, with the 16 seeded players entering the scene from the second round; 32, instead, those at the start of the women’s main draw. The two main draw tables will be drawn on Saturday 30 November.

ROAD TO FINALS But the Milano Premier Padel P1 will also be one of the last opportunities to qualify for the Premier Padel Finals, scheduled in Barcelona from December 19th to 22 th. The top 16 players in the FIP Race will in fact be on court in Spain for the final act of the season, and the one at the Allianz Cloud will be one of the last tournaments to earn points towards the Finals.

THE INSTITUTIONS The Milano Premier Padel P1, organized by NSA Group can count on the support of the Minister for Sport and Youths, Andrea Abodi, with the contribution of the Regione Lombardia and the patronage of the Municipality of Milan.
