Italian-Argentinian victory: Rubini and Gamondi triumph in Chile

An Italian-Argentinian victory was secured at the FIP Rise Viña del Mar II, a tournament held in the Chilean city of Viña del Mar, which had already hosted several events of the 2024 CUPRA FIP Tour and the women’s South American Qualifiers for the FIP World Padel Championships. Argentine Juan Ignacio Rubini, paired with Italian Teo Gamondi, the number 1 seeds, defeated the Argentine duo of Axel William Guevara and Manuel Gayone, the number 2 seeds, in the final in three sets (6-4 4-6 6-3), earning 31 points in the FIP ranking.

“I am very happy. This is my third consecutive FIP win (after the FIP Star Aguascalientes and the FIP Rise Santiago de Chile). It is very difficult to win, and winning three in a row… now it was Teo’s and my turn. We are very pleased”, Rubini emphasized at the end of the match. “We started by struggling through the first matches, but we managed to overcome them and win the tournament”, Gamondi added.
