Houten III, Sanchez Perez’s magic moment: third consecutive title

The FIP Promotion Houten III concluded in the Netherlands, delivering both confirmations and surprises. In the women’s draw, victory went to the pair Kaori Peco and Ana Cristina Sanchez Perez, the second seeds. The Spanish duo triumphed in the final against Groenveld/Foguer Lapuente in three sets (3-6 6-3 6-2). For Kaori Peco, born in 2008, this marks her second win on the CUPRA FIP Tour after her success at the FIP Rise in Tenerife in June. Sanchez Perez, on the other hand, continues her golden streak, securing her third consecutive FIP Promotion title after victories in La Nucia and Almeria.

In the men’s draw, the title was claimed by Diogo Jesus and Pedro Graça, who celebrated their first career win on the CUPRA FIP Tour. The Portuguese duo defeated the third seeds, Cabeza Teres and Fazendeiro, in two sets (6-4 6-4). After the match, Graça commented: “This is our first FIP title. We’ve been playing well since the start of the tournament. Now, we’ll focus on the next event, the FIP Rise Roeselare.”
