FIFA President Gianni Infantino in the VIP Box for the World Championships Finals

Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, relived intense emotions as he reflected on the success of the 2022 Qatar World Cup. He did so from the VIP Box at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash in Doha, during the men’s and women’s finals in the double showdown between Spain and Argentina.

The top figure in world football, hosted by International Padel Federation president Luigi Carraro and Premier Padel president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, brought an official FIFA soccer ball inscribed with “Luigi” as a gift for Carraro, who reciprocated with an official tournament racket specially personalized for Infantino. During the meeting, where they discussed their shared passion for sports, Infantino remarked to Carraro and Al-Khelaifi: “Being here with you for these beautiful world padel challenges has made me relive the excitement of the last World Cup here in Qatar”.
