Coello-Tapia and Chingotto-Galan partners again

Having put behind the great emotions of the FIP World Padel Championships, the stars come back to the court in the Premier Padel circuit. They do so with two consecutive P1s, the first in Dubai and the second in Kuwait City, with the fourth to last and third to last legs of an exciting season that will culminate with the last Major in Mexico, the P1 in Milan and the Finals in Barcelona. Those who were opponents in Doha will be back as partners: this applies both to Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, the number 1 seed, and to Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, who played respectively with Tapia and Juan Lebron in the second match of the final between Spain and Argentina won by the Albiceleste.

MEN In Dubai there was the draw: there will be 48 pairs at the start of the men’s and 32 of the women’s draw, with the start set for Tuesday 5th and the finals scheduled for Sunday 10th. Coello and Tapia, the number 1 seed, will debut against a ‘pareja’ from the qualifiers; Chingotto and Galan, on the other hand, will debut against Hernandez/Javi Rico or Torre/Valdes. Vilariño/Del Castillo or Benitez/Cepero for Martin Di Nenno and Juan Lebron (3), while Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas – winners of the P2 in NewGiza – drew a qualified pair or Patiniotis/Moya. These are the hypothetical quarter-finals: Coello/Tapia (1)-Bergamini/Garrido (8), Gonzalez/Alonso (7)-Di Nenno/Lebron (3), Stupaczuk/Yanguas (4)-Nieto/Sanz (6), Navarro/Cardona (5)-Chingotto/Galan (2).

WOMEN In the women’s draw, hunting as always for Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez, who in Doha brought the decisive point for Spain’s FIP World Padel Championships title: for Paula and Ari, first round against Merino/Carnicero. For Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez, on the other hand, the draw against Las Heras/Bellver. Also returning to the Premier Padel circuit is Bea Gonzalez, again paired with Delfi Brea as the number 3 seed; finally, the number 4 seed are Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo, winners in Egypt in the last Premier Padel tournament played before the World Championships. Hypothetical quarter-finals: Josemaria/Sanchez (1)-Icardo/Jensen (7), Osoro/Virseda (8)-Brea/Gonzalez (3), Ortega/Araujo (4)-Castelló/Salazar (5), Sainz/Llaguno (6)-Triay/Fernandez (2).
