Beau Plan, in Mauritius title to Leygue-Piotto and Arellano-Lujan

The FIP Star Beau Plan, the first tournament of the CUPRA FIP Tour played in Mauritius, offered great emotions. In the men’s draw, the title went to French Thomas Leygue and Argentine Nacho Piotto, the number 2 seed, who lifted the trophy without losing a set, finishing 6-3 6-0 in the final over two other Frenchmen, Maxime Joris and Timeo Fonteny. “We are very happy with the level we reached this week and lucky to be able to compete in places like this”, the words of the winners, who climbed to number 91 (+4) and number 82 (+2) in the FIP ranking respectively.

 

In the women’s draw, on the other hand, the title went to number 1 seed Marta Arellano and Laura Lujan, thanks to double 6-2 in the final over French Carla Touly and Spanish Ana Dominguez. “We are champions of this incredible tournament – Arellano said –. Laura, congratulations on your performance, I’m really happy with the level we have reached”. Words also shared by Lujan, who, like the other winners, earned 62 points in the FIP ranking: “We lived an incredible week. Thanks to the organisation for making this possible, we will surely come back next year”.
