Almeria, in Roquetas de Mar 51 couples competing for the title

Roquetas de Mar in Spain will host the Promotion Almeria, a new stop on the CUPRA FIP Tour. Ready to compete for the title – and 15 points in the FIP ranking – are 51 couples, 32 male and 19 female, with the main draw starting on Friday and the finals on Sunday, November 10.

In the women’s draw, the top seeds are Ainara Pozuelo (ranked 125) and Valeria Atencia Basilio (ranked 121), who will debut against Ainhoa Navarro Fernandez and Maria Garin. Also to watch are Candela Lucendo and Leyre Montañez Marco (seeded 2), while among the European athletes, the Italian pair Francesca Ligotti/Paola Ciabattoni (seeded 4) stands out.

In the men’s draw, the top seeds are Juan Jose Dominguez (ranked 313) and Luis Pozo Carballo (ranked 199), who will face the pair of Daniel Llorente Ruiz and Jose Adrian Prieto Nuñez in the first round. The round of 16 and quarterfinals are scheduled for Saturday, while the semifinals and finals will take place on Sunday.
