Open Poreč, Cremona, Baldi, Dal Pozzo: three Italians on the throne in Croatia

Simone Cremona among men; Caterina Maria Baldi and Giulia Dal Pozzo among women. An almost all-Italian triumph in the FIP Promotion Open in Poreč (Croatia): in the men’s draw Cremona, paired with the Spaniard Jaime Fermosell, lived up to the predictions by lifting the trophy as number 1 seed, beating the Portuguese Pedro Araujo and the Spaniard Gerard Arnaldos 7-5 6-3 in the final.

In the women’s draw, however, Baldi and Dal Pozzo took advantage of the withdrawal in the final of Carla Fernandez and Rosalie Van der Hoek, when the score was still 7-6 1-0 in favour of the Italians. If Baldi had already won the FIP Rise in Cordenons last year, for Dal Pozzo (born in 2005) it was the first career title on the CUPRA FIP Tour.
