X FIP Juniors Panamerican Padel Championships: future champions shine in Mexico

Following the recently concluded FIP Juniors European Padel Championships in Hungary, a new international event for young padel talents is on the horizon. Aguascalientes, Mexico, will host the 10th edition of the FIP Juniors Panamerican Padel Championships from September 17 to 21, a premier event for future champions in the American continent. Organized by the International Padel Federation – together with FEMEPA (the Mexican federation) and Padel America (the new continental reality within FIP) – the competition will feature top players from nine countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, United States and Venezuela.

Great anticipation surrounds the opening ceremony, scheduled for September 16 at 7.30 PM (local time), during which the draws for the boys’ and girls’ national teams will take place.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT In the boys’ competition, the representatives of the nine participating countries will be divided into three groups of three teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals for positions 1-6, with the first-placed teams from groups A and B advancing directly to the semifinals thanks to a “bye.” The third-placed teams will compete in a group for positions 7-9.

In the girls’ tournament, there will be eight national teams (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, the United States), divided into two groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, while the bottom two teams will play for positions 5-8.

Similar to the European tournament in Hungary, the FIP Juniors Panamerican Padel Championships will offer an extraordinary opportunity for young athletes to compete against the best peers from across the continent. At the same time, they will experience a week dedicated to sport, friendship, and a passion for padel, values that the FIP and national federations strongly support to build the future of the sport and promote a healthy and inclusive sports culture.
