La Serena, 27 pairs on court in Chile: Melero-Pastor number 1

Twenty-seven pairs will take the court over the weekend in the FIP Rise in the Chilean city of La Serena. The top five seeds will benefit from a bye, entering the draw directly for the round of 16. Miguel Melero Bernal, number 173 in the FIP rankings, and Pablo Pastor Landaburu (229) lead the entry list; the Spaniards are followed by Argentine Pablo Molina Tofanelli and Chilean Cristobal Martinez, while compatriot Cristobal Molina will play alongside another Argentine, Gaston Lazzarini.

On Friday, at the Club del Mar, the first round of the main draw will take place: round of 16 and the quarterfinals on Saturday, semifinals and final on Sunday.
