Egypt, UAE, Japan, and Australia dominate Day 1

A strong start with double victories for Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, and Australia in the FIP World Padel Championships Asia-Africa Qualifiers. In Kuwait City, eleven matches were played on the first day, six of them in the men’s tournament: Egypt took control of Group A after defeating Lebanon, while in Group B, the United Arab Emirates did the same. In Group C, Japan and Iran both secured two points, as did Senegal and Australia in Group D. Below are the complete results.

 

Men’s Day 1:

Egypt-Lebanon 3-0

Philippines-United Arab Emirates 0-3

Iran-Oman 3-0

China-Japan 0-3

Thailand-Senegal 0-3

Australia-Saudi Arabia 3-0

 

WOMEN In the women’s tournament, Japan claimed a clear victory, opening Group A with a 3-0 win over Saudi Arabia. The same result was seen for Australia against Senegal, and for the Philippines over Thailand (Group D), while in Group B, the United Arab Emirates defeated Lebanon 2-1; in Group C, Egypt also triumphed over Bahrain.
