Double triumph for Argentina, Mexico and Brazil on the podium
September 22, 2024Argentina achieved a double triumph in the 10th edition of the FIP Juniors Panamerican Padel Championships. In Aguascalientes, the “Albiceleste” claimed victory in both the men’s and women’s tournaments, defeating the hosts Mexico in both finals, after a week featuring the best young padel talents from across the Americas.
GIRLS The finals day began with a 2-1 win for the Argentine girls over Mexico, thanks to victories in the Under-14 category (Victoria Milena Vilches/Zoe Benitez Blanco) and Under-16 (Candela Zilich Farre/Lourdes Flores Olariaga), before Mexico secured a point in the Under-18 match (Ximena Muñoz De Cote/Renata Martinez Becerra). The Argentine boys’ team joined the celebrations with their female counterparts before facing their own final against Mexico. Brazil completed the girls’ podium with a 2-1 victory over Chile. BOYS The Argentine boys’ team delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Mexico, with wins from Santino Martin Contreras/Julian Bordon Arrieguez (Under-14), Naim Horacio Díaz/Antonio Graupera (Under-16), and Mateo Conte/Filippo Nicocia (Under-18). As with the girls’ finals, the post-match celebrations were shared by the entire team, including the girls, rounding off an unforgettable day. Brazil once again secured third place on the podium, defeating Chile 2-1. Below is the final ranking for the boys’ tournament:
