The finals of the Oysho Valladolid Premier Padel P2 will be the same as a week ago in Rotterdam. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia against Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan among the men, Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez against Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez among the women. MEN For the 11^th time in 17 tournaments in the 2024 season of the Premier Padel circuit, the title will be a challenge between Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia against Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, who in Valladolid – at Coello’s home – will face each other for the 12^th time including the semi-final of the P2 in Sevilla. Coello and Tapia, who are off to a great start, lead 6-5 in the previous matches, but have won the last three (Malaga, Madrid and Rotterdam) without losing a set. In the second semifinal, the number 1 seed offered another great test, beating Martin Di Nenno and Juan Lebron (3) with a double 6-2 in one hour and one minute. It had taken the ‘Chingalans’ 25 minutes longer to overcome Pablo Cardona and Paquito Navarro 6-4 7-6. For numbers 3 and 4 in the FIP ranking, the Valladolid final will be the 12^th final in 12 tournaments played as a pair.

WOMEN It will be the tenth duel of the season between Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez and Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez that will decide the queens of Valladolid. The score is five wins to four for the FIP number 1s, who have also won three out of three finals (Doha, Malaga and Rotterdam) against their opponents on Sunday. Josemaria and Sanchez will be looking to win their eighth trophy of 2024, the fourth in the last five tournaments played, and to reach the final they overcame with a score of 6-2 6-3 Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo, the number 3 seed. The first semi-final had also ended in two sets, 6-4 6-3 in one hour and 34 minutes, with Triay/Fernandez winning over Delfi Brea and Andrea Ustero (4), who closed their first week as a pair on Saturday. For the No. 2 seed, after Santiago, Bordeaux and Madrid, it would be the fourth title, which would allow Gemma and Claudia to join Brea/Gonzalez in second place among the top pairs in 2024.
