FIP World Padel Championships Qualifiers, day 2. Uruguay beat Ecuador 2-1. Sunday’s challenge to Venezuela

On the day 2 of the South American men’s qualifiers to the FIP World Padel Championships in Doha (28 October-2 November), hosts Uruguay debuted with a victory. Two wins in three games in the tie for Celeste over Ecuador, thanks to Martin Araujo and Higor Ensslin (6-3 6-2 over Frederick Armijos and Andres Cabezas Rubio) and Diego Ramos and Valentin Piastri (6-1 6-0 over Daniel and David Aguero).

Between the two victories, Nicolas Palacio and José Chamba’s 6-4 6-1 over Walter Ramos and Rodrigo Jimenez. In Montevideo, on Sunday, the third and final day of competition with Uruguay facing Venezuela (defeated on Friday by Ecuador): at stake, a place in the final stage in Qatar.
