FIP Star Gran Canaria, from Momo Gonzalez to Marta Marrero: how many big names on court

The first FIP Star of the season, the one scheduled in Gran Canaria (Spain), will see great champions on the court, both in the men’s and women’s draw. There are 62 FIP ranking points up for grabs for the winning pairs, in a CUPRA FIP Tour tournament that promises to be spectacular. Leading the entry list among the men will be Momo Gonzalez and Edu Alonso, respectively number 12 and number 19 in the ranking, winners in July of the FIP Platinum Sardegna and semi-finalists ten days ago in the Finland Premier Padel P2. For Gonzalez/Alonso, it will be an opportunity to improve their partnership.

The number 2 seed will be Javi Garcia (46) and José Antonio Diestro (44), with José Jimenez (72) and Jairo Bautista (37) completing the podium. In the women’s tournament, with the main draw kicking off on Friday as in the men’s, after the end of qualifying draws, Carla Mesa (32) and Marta Marrero (69) will lead, with Raquel Eugenio (83) and Martina Fassio (54) the number 2 seed.
