FIP Rise Padel Copa Utrecht, Carolina Navarro is the star in the Netherlands

Carolina Navarro, number 46 in the FIP ranking and former world number 1, is the most awaited player at the FIP Rise Padel Copa Utrecht, scheduled for the weekend in the Netherlands. Navarro will play as the number 1 seed in the women’s draw, paired with Patricia Martinez Fortun, ranked number 52. The number 2 seed in a 19-pair main draw will instead be Aida Martinez Sanjuan and Lucia Micaela Fernandez Lopez.

In the men’s draw, however, leading the entry list are Frenchmen Johan Bergeron and Bastien Blanqué, number 150 and number 126 in the FIP ranking, followed by Italian Simone Cremona and Portuguese Afonso Fazendeiro. Also French are the number 3 seed Adrien Maigret and Jeremy Scatena. Thursday’s first round matches are scheduled; round of 16 on Friday, quarter-finals on Saturday, semi-finals and finals on Sunday.
