FIP Rise Box to Box, many French pairs ready to win

The FIP Rise Box to Box is being played this weekend in Bandol, in the region of Provence (France). Many French pairs are ready to play a leading role, even if not as the number 1 seed. Among the men, Italy’s Marco Cassetta and Spain’s Alvaro Montiel, who played with another Italian, Simone Cremona, in last week’s FIP Rise Villa Mercede Cup, lead the draw. The number 2 seeded players are Pol Hernandez and Rama Valenzuela, protagonists of a great start to the season.

The number 3 seeded players, also exempt from playing the first round of the 29-pairs draw, are French Julien Seurin and Maxime Moreau. In the women’s draw, on the other hand, the number 2 seed Carla Touly and Jessica Ginier Barbier are French, following Lucia Perez Parra and Ana Dominguez, number 98 and 83 in the FIP ranking. Twenty pairs are at the start (play from Thursday to Sunday), 12 of which have already been admitted to the round of 16.
