Portugal beats France to secure third place, Netherlands fifth ahead of Sweden

The third place in the men’s tournament of the thirteenth FIP European Padel Championships goes to Portugal, after a close battle with France. A spectacle of padel and cheering that provided a fight for the third place worthy of a final. In the end, Portugal triumphed 2-0. The first match was a battle with Guichard/Leygue winning the first set before suffering the comeback of the Deus brothers. It ended 3-6 6-3 7-6. In the second match, Araujo/Luque had an easier task, winning in two sets (6-4 6-2) against Joris/Vanbauce. Thus, France took fourth place and was still a main character in a great European Championship for technical value, participation, and joy, with a special mention for their beautiful chants of support for their teammates!
The fifth place goes to the Netherlands, which beat Sweden 2-1, putting Sweds in sixth place. Then, seventh place for Great Britain, 2-1 against Germany (8). Belgium secured the ninth place by beating Denmark 2-1, which finished tenth. The eleventh place went to Austria, 2-1 against Poland, which finished twelfth, while the thirteenth place went to the Principality of Monaco, 2-1 against Switzerland (14) and, finally, Hungary secured the fifteenth place thanks to a 2-1 win against Croatia, which finished sixteenth.
