FIP Rise Prodigy Padel App, Gonzalez-Martí, perfect weekend: title and Malaga P1

José Luis Gonzalez made the double. After winning, paired with Italian Marco Cassetta, the FIP Rise in Sandigliano (Italy), he repeated himself in the FIP Rise Prodigy Padel App in Estepona (Spain), paired with Spanish Carlos Martí, beating in the final with a score of 6-2 4-6 7-6 the pair formed by qualifiers Roberto Belmong and Eduardo Herrero, who came within a step of a sensational victory.

But Gonzalez and Martí’s perfect weekend didn’t end with the title in Estepona; the two Spanish then headed to nearby Malaga, where between Saturday and Sunday they celebrated qualification to the Andalusian Premier P1. Laura Lujan Rodriguez, who was eliminated in the first qualifying round with Ana Dominguez, was not able to achieve the same feat. The 19-year-old Spaniard, who has risen to number 93 in the FIP ranking, nevertheless consoled herself with her fifth title of the season on the CUPRA FIP Tour, paired with another very young player, Claudia Escacena (born in 2007, at the first title of her career), in a very tight final that ended 6-7 7-6 6-2 over Ana Varo and Amanda Girdo.
