FIP Gold Saltillo, here are the champions. Title to Torre-Rubio and Collombon-Bidahorria

It was the number 1 seeded players from the two draws who took the title in the FIP Gold Saltillo (Mexico), the second in this category within the CUPRA FIP Tour. Big crowds at Punto Padel, where Agustin Torre and Gonzalo Rubio among the men and Alix Collombon and Julieta Bidahorria among the women raised the trophy by winning the semifinals in the morning and the finals in the evening.

Among the men, Torre and Rubio first beat Marco Cassetta and Clement Geens 6-1 6-2, then 7-6 6-3 Aitor Garcia and Miguel Angel Solbes. Collombon and Bidahorria, on the other hand, overcame Maria Portillo and Carla Fitó 6-2 7-5, and repeated with a score of 6-4 6-3 over Catarina Santos Domingos and Camila Ramme Coellar, big surprises of the tournament. Italian Marco Cassetta, despite his defeat in the semifinals, can nevertheless celebrate his entry into the men’s Top 100 of the FIP ranking: he is the first Italian-born man to achieve this goal.
