Estepona hosts FIP Rise Prodigy Padel App. Spaniard Luque puts another title in his sights

CUPRA FIP Tour makes a stop in Spain, in the Andalusian town of Estepona, where the Racquet Club Villa Padierna is hosting the FIP Rise Prodigy Padel App: 64 pairs will be at the start, 32 in the men’s Main Draw and as many in the women’s.

The top seed will be Spaniards Raul Marcos and Antonio Luque, respectively No. 66 and No. 85 in the FIP Ranking: the latter, paired however with Portugal’s Pedro Araujo, won the FIP Rise Metepec this season. Jose Luis Gonzalez and Carlos Marti, on the other hand, will be the No. 2 seeded ‘pareja’: No. 82 and No. 78 in the FIP Ranking respectively, Gonzalez won last month – paired with Italian Marco Cassetta – the FIP Rise in Biella. Also on the seeded player podium is the Spanish-Argentinean pair formed by Mario Del Castillo and Ignacio Piotto (3), who with different teammates gained titles at FIP Rise Diputacion de Malaga and FIP Rise Burriana.

The seeded list also speak Spanish in the women’s draw. The top seed will be that formed by Nuria Vivancos (No. 77 in the FIP ranking) and Ana Fernandez (79), while the No. 2 seeded pareja will be fellow country women Raquel Segura Aguilar – a recent finalist at the FIP Rise Bapadel Barcelona paired with Amanda Lopez Moral – and Lorena Alonso De Lera. Finally, 18-year-old Marta Arellano Navarro and Carla Castillo Velarde, respectively No. 74 and No. 87 in the FIP ranking, occupy the third position in the seeded list.
