FIP Promotion Zétrud-Lumay, three Dutch and one Belgian winners

An all-Dutch pair and one – in the women’s draw – made up of a Dutch and a Belgian player: these are the winners of the FIP Promotion Zétrud-Lumay (Belgium). In the men’s draw, the Dutch Sten Richters and Bram Meijer had to work very hard, with three matches won in three sets, including the final against the number 1 seeds Clement Geens and François Azzola, which ended with a score of 6-3 3-6 6-1.

“After many long and difficult matches we managed to bring home the trophy – said Richters, who like Meijer climbs seven places in the FIP ranking to reach number 187 –. We feel really happy and proud of our first international title in this year”. The women’s tournament, on the other hand, was won by Belgium’s Elyne Boeykens (who climbs 28 positions in the FIP ranking and is now number 181) and the Dutch Rosalie Van der Hoek, in the final (6-4 6-4) over Elizabeth Wyckaert and Noemi Sermant.
