FIP Promises BNL Italy Major, the Next Gen celebrates together with the padel stars

A special Saturday at the Foro Italico in Rome, where, alongside the semifinals of the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel, the Next Gen of Italian padel celebrated with a new stop of the FIP Promises circuit. On the same courts where the top FIP ranking players competed throughout the week, the spotlight was on the winners of the two draws, both in the Under 18 category. In the men’s draw, applause went to Giuseppe Fino and Matteo Platania, who won the final 6-1 6-1 against the top seeds, Enzo Vista and Lorenzo Bogarin. The match was controlled from start to finish, under the watchful eye of coach Lele Fanti, who kept the concentration high: “Play as if you were down a break in the third set, 5-4 for them”, he encouraged his boys while they were leading 6-1 4-1. Equally attentive was the crowd, who turned out in large numbers despite the simultaneous semifinal of the “big” players on the Centrale court.

Among the girls, it was a double victory for Aurora Buscaino, who had already won the FIP Promises Maxibon Rome the previous week. The athlete from Sicily, this time paired with Camilla Livioni, defeated Flavia Coppola and Valentina Varazi 4-6 7-5 6-3, again receiving applause and cheers from the fans who came to support the new generation of talents.
