Lotto Brussels Premier Padel P2, here are the draws. Many new pairs at the ‘Gare Maritime’

After Riyadh, Doha, Acapulco and Puerto Cabello, Premier Padel – the world’s only professional circuit, governed by the International Padel Federation – arrives in Europe for the first two stages that will take place in two consecutive weeks. They will be two P2 category tournaments (the new category introduced in 2024 in Premier Padel): the first in Belgium, the second in Spain. It starts with the Lotto Brussels Premier Padel P2, which for many pairs – especially in the men’s draw – marks a new beginning.

MEN After winning in Qatar, Mexico and Venezuela, leading the entry list among the men are again Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, the top two players in the ranking: they will debut against a pair coming from the qualifiers, which will end on Monday (main draw starting on Tuesday, finals on Sunday). As number 2 seed here is the first new entry, with Paquito Navarro and Juan Lebron returning to play together: they will debut against Jaime Munoz and Javier Garcia. Also in the same half of the draw are Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, who in their first tournament together (the P2 in Puerto Cabello) have reached the final: their first European match is tricky, against Edu Alonso and Alex Arroyo. At number 4 on the entry list are the ‘Superpibes’ Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno, who after losing four semifinals want to reach their first title. Also returning will be Momo Gonzalez and Alex Ruiz (6), just as new is the number 7 seeded pair of Sanyo Gutierrez and Maxi Sanchez.

WOMEN In the women’s draw, Paula Josemaria and Ari Sanchez are back, and will start their journey at the Gare Maritime in Brussels directly in the round of 16, as will the other three top seeds: Delfi Brea and Bea Gonzalez (2), returning from their first title of the season in Venezuela, Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez (3) and Tamara Icardo and Alejandra Salazar (4). For Josemaria/Sanchez, the debut will be against the ‘Carolinas’ Orsi/Navarro (making their debut as a pair) or against two players from the qualifiers. For Brea/Gonzalez, on the other hand, Collombon/Bidahorria or the Belgian wild cards Mestach/Wyckaert.
