FIP Rise Buenos Aires, CUPRA puts Premier Padel at stake

Argentina is fast approaching the Premier Padel P1 in Mar del Plata, scheduled from 20 to 26 May. The two main stages of this countdown are the FIP Rise organised in April in Buenos Aires, two stages of the CUPRA FIP Tour. It starts at the weekend with a men’s draw of 19 pairs, with a special prize at stake: the winning pair will earn a wild card for P1.

“These tournaments represent another step in our efforts to give the greatest possible importance to the development of educational padel in our country”, explained Santiago Brito, president of the APA (Asociación Padel Argentino). The number 1 seed in the tournament are Ignacio Piotto Albornoz (number 102 in the FIP ranking) and Mario Ortega (86): they are followed on the entry list by Matias Emmanuel Del Moral (282) and Santi Rolla (173). The FIP Rise starts on Friday with the first round. On Sunday, however, two players will be able to secure a ticket to Mar del Plata.
