FIP Rise Betsson Sweden III, Vasquez triumphs at home

A Swedish triumphs in Sweden. Simon Vasquez, paired with Spaniard Alvaro Montiel Caruso, won the FIP Rise Betsson Sweden III, played last weekend in Gothenburg. In the final, Vasquez (who rose to number 106 in the FIP ranking) and Montiel (now number 118) defeated 7-6 6-4 brothers Pedro and Alvaro Melendez. Vasquez had already won a FIP Rise in Gothenburg in April 2023, paired with Daniel Windahl.

“The week of dreams – said the two winners –. We took home the title by winning some very tough matches and overcoming some very tough moments mentally and physically. We did it thanks to our family, our team and all the people who supported us during the tournament”.
