FIP Rise Dubai, Pol Hernandez the hero of three worlds
March 25, 2024First Alicante, then Santiago, now Dubai. Pol Hernandez Alvarez’s world tour continues winning trophies: the 19-year-old Spaniard has won his third title in three different continents in 2024 on the CUPRA FIP Tour (the circuit of the International Padel Federation, which has around 120 tournaments a year in five continents), the second paired with Ramiro Valenzuela after lifting the trophy in Santiago with Dylan Demian Cuello. Hernandez/Valenzuela, who started as the number 7 seed in the FIP Rise played in the UAE, didn’t lose a set and in the final defeated the Portuguese Pedro Araujo and Nuno Deus, number 3 in the seeding, with a double 6-4.
“It has been an incredible week here – Hernandez’s words –. ‘Rama’, let’s continue on this path: you are a strong player and we want to do more and more. Thanks to all those who support me day after day: now it’s time to rest a few days, before returning on court stronger”.
On the other hand, Lucia Perez Parra and Laura Lujan Rodriguez, the number 1 seed, won the women’s tournament, thanks to a 6-4 6-2 victory over Catarina Castro Vilela and Wendy Barsotti. For Lujan Rodriguez, this is also her third title on the CUPRA FIP Tour 2024, after those at the FIP Promotion in Jaen and the FIP Rise Betsson Sweden II in Gothenburg.
