FIP Promotion Alicante, trophy to Hernandez-Valenzuela

A Spaniard and an Argentine on the throne of the FIP Promotion Alicante (Spain). Pol Hernandez Alvarez and Ramiro ‘Rama’ Valenzuela won the tournament played in the Comunitat Valenciana. In the final, the number 2 seed gave up only three games (6-1 6-2) to Marc Sintes Villalonga and Pau Miñano Ortinez, who came from the qualifiers. Valenzuela had won another CUPRA FIP Tour tournament, the Rise in Viña del Mar (Chile), last December, paired with compatriot Felipe Calleja.

“Our first tournament together in this 2024, there could not have been a better start than this one – said Hernandez, who is engaged to Noa Canovas, another Spanish padel talent –. We showed a great level during the matches and managed to take this title. Thanks to everyone who encouraged us during the tournament”. The women’s tournament was won by Maria Hermida and Eva Jimenez, 6-3 6-4 in the final over Dutch favourites Liza Groenveld and Bo Luttikhuis.
