Official venue for the FIP Seniors World Padel Championships 2024. It will be hosted in La Nucía, Alicante, from April 15th to 20th

It will be La Nucía (Alicante), a beautiful location in the Comunitat Valenciana, that will host the third edition of the FIP Seniors World Padel Championship from April 15th to 20th. The Board of Directors of the International Padel Federation has decided to entrust the Federation of the Comunitat Valenciana (FPCV) with the organisation of this prestigious event, with the full support of the Spanish Padel Federation (FEP) and the institutional support of the Comunitat Valenciana and the Council of Alicante. It will be the ‘Club Padelpoint La Nucía’ and ‘Club Padelpoint Villaitana’ courts, which already hosted the last Senior European Championships, that will welcome the athletes of the 16 strongest men’s and women’s Senior National Teams in the world – according to the FIP ranking by Nations – many of whom are authentic legends and protagonists of unforgettable pages in the history of padel.

CARRARO “The FIP Seniors World Padel Championship scheduled in La Nucía (Alicante), where we have already experienced the show of the European Senior Championship, will be an exciting event – said the FIP president, Luigi Carraro –. Our sport shows how the most precious gift for an athlete, talent, knows no age, no fatigue, nor the passage of time. Talent is a precious asset for every Federation in the world that wants to grow, improve, reach goals. And it is in the skills of the most experienced players that the chance of developing new generations is mirrored, transferring the precious technical-tactical baggage from player to player. I believe that in sport, age is an opportunity and never a limitation, and the proof of this is all around us, on courts around the world at every level. At this World Cup we will have the best of the players who have made the history of our sport. FORMAT The group draw is scheduled for Sunday, April 14th; the group stage will be played from Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th, with 16 national teams competing for a place in the quarter-finals, while the final draw will take place from Thursday 18th to Saturday 20th. The teams defeated in the group stage will also continue their journey, in the draw that will form the rankings from 9th to 16th place. At the same time as the World Team Championship, the World Couples Championship will also be played.
