More than a padel tournament, it was a marathon. Argentina’s Federico Mouriño and Spain’s Mario Huete Hernandez won the FIP RISE in Bourg en Bresse, France, in front of a great crowd, in very tight matches. Forced to the third set already in the quarter-finals and semifinals, Mouriño and Huete – the number 3 seed on the draw – beat the Spaniards Enrique Goenaga and Javier Martinez (who led the entry list) in the deciding match with a score of 6-2 2-6 7-5. Fede and Mario hugged each other for a long time after the decisive point.
