Gutierrez and Windahl, what a comeback

Argentinian Cristian Gutierrez and Swedish Daniel Windahl were the number 1 seed at FIP RISE Kaunas and respected the predictions. However, they took a big risk in the semifinals, managing to recover a one-set back against Nacho Moragues Moltò and Luis Alfonso Chacon Gilo. After beating the two Spaniards (2-6 7-5 6-1), Gutierrez and Windahl defeated in the final with a double 6-4 win over the pair formed by José Luis Gonzalez and Antonio Varo Ramos, the number 2 seed and also forced to make up a set disadvantage in the semi-final against Josep Aymerich Bellmunt and Manuel Aragon Herrera. “We got back up in time…”, Windahl’s comment, thinking back to the semi-final…
