Gonzalez and Luque do not fail

It was an all-Spanish final at FIP RISE Kuwait Steel: it was won by José Luis Gonzalez, world number 79, and Antonio Luque, number 65, the top seed in the draw. Nothing to do (6-3 6-4) for brothers Pedro and Alvaro Melendez Amaya, number 2 in the seeding. Gonzalez took revenge after his defeat in the final in Kaunas.

On the other hand, it was the number 4 pair on the draw who won the women’s tournament: raising the trophy were Carla Fito Fernandez and Maria Portillo Perez, thanks to a 7-5 7-6 victory in the final over Tia Louisa Norton and Rosalie Van der Hoek. “We won four matches in which we improved as a couple and were able to take the title – said the winners –. We are very happy with the level of the court and we had fun. Thanks to all the people of Kuwait for their kindness and generosity shown at all times”.
