Fourth title for the “Deus brothers”

It’s a great 2023 for brothers Nuno and Miguel Deus. The two Portuguese players added another trophy to their season, the one in the FIP RISE in Stratford. In the final, the “Deus Brothers” (seeded number 6) defeated number 8 on the draw, Guillem Figuerola Santiago and Joaquim Florensa Hernandez with a score of 6-2 6-1. Nuno and Miguel celebrated with a Portuguese flag at the award ceremony.

“For us, this is the fourth international title of the season – they said – Thanks to the Portuguese who supported us throughout the tournament. Playing in this way becomes much easier and it is an incredible feeling to be able to celebrate all together. Match after match, tournament after tournament, point after point, this is the way to go and we will get where we want to be”.

Among the women, the title went to Spain’s Aitana Garcia Roman and Argentina’s Marianela Montesi, the number 7 seed, thanks to a 6-4 7-6 in the final over Spain’s Catarina Castro Vilela and France’s Carla Touly, number 5 on the draw.
