Champion…Leygue for the first time

Spanish Ferran Insa Sotillo and French Thomas Leygue were the third seed in the draw but celebrated victory at the FIP RISE played in Antalya, Turkey. In the final, Insa and Leygue defeated 7-6 6-1 another Frenchman, Jerome Inzerillo, paired with Belgium’s Clement Geens.
If Insa had won within a week a FIP tournament in Sweden (in Frihammen) and one in Japan (in Osaka), for Leygue it was his first success at international level. The two Antalya champions, in the semi-final won 4-6 7-6 6-4 against Pepe Aliaga and Pol Hernandez Alvarez, had also had to cancel three match points.
