World stars make their debut Lamperti/Diaz-Chingotto/Navarro the highlight

Wednesday is the day of the world’s top players. The top seeds of the Greenweez Paris Major Premier Padel are ready to make their debut at Roland Garros. They will do that after skipping the first round, such as Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia – winners of the last three Premiers, in Rome, Madrid and Mendoza –, who will open the programme on court 7, from 1p.m., against Spaniards Pablo Garcia Rodrigo and Ivan Ramirez. The Spaniard and the Argentine, the number 3 seed, have today got to grips with Roland Garros and from tomorrow they are ready to chase a fourth title in a row. The second match on the Philippe-Chatrier will feature Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno (2) against José Antonio Diestro and Javier Leal. The most fascinating match, however, is the one among the ‘legends’ Juan Martin Diaz (world number 1 for 13 years) and Miguel Lamperti and the pair formed by Paquito Navarro and Fede Chingotto (4). Appointment on court Chatrier, after Lamperti/Diaz won a marathon in three sets (6-2 2-6 6-4) today against Cepero/Chozas: on court 7, another legend like Fernando Belasteguin who, paired with Mike Yanguas (5), will face off against Valdes/Sanchez. In the match that will begin not before 8 p.m., on the Chatrier, the seeding leaders Juan Lebron and Ale Galan will oppose Gil/Sager.

It is also the big day for the women, who, for the third time after Rome and Madrid, will be the stars of the Premier Padel circuit: Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria (1) playing as the second match on court number 7 against Borrero/Sharifova, with Marta Ortega and Gemma Triay (2) opening the programme on court 6 against Aguilar Carrillo/Manquillo Alarda. Delfina Brea and Bea Gonzalez, the queens of Madrid and the number 3 seed, on court 5 against Martinez/Ruiz Soto, while it will be court 4 that will see Alejandra Salazar (4) take on Premier Padel, who, paired with Portugal’s Sofia Araujo, will face the young Spanish pair Alonso/Ustero
