Sanchez/Josemaria, one game lost, France proud of Collombon

Ahead without obstacles. The top two seeds in the women’s draw at the Greenweez Paris Major Premier Padel continued their march. Number one seeded Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria gave up just one game (6-0 6-1) to Fernandez Sanchez/Iglesias Segador (10), while Marta Ortega and Gemma Triay defeated Rodriguez/Talavan (12) 6-2 6-4. In the quarters, Sanchez/Josemaria will be up against Tamara Icardo and Maria Virginia Riera (6), who defeated Caparros Maldonado/Navarro with a double 6-2. For Ortega/Triay, however, the quarter-finals will be against Patri Llaguno Zielinski and Lucia Sainz Pelegri (7), who eliminated Mesa Salazar/Orsi (15).

Also ok were Delfina Brea and Bea Gonzalez (3), with a 6-4 6-3 win over Guinart/Navarro Björk (14): Castello/Osoro (8) next opponents in the quarters. In the evening came the names of the last two pairs who will return to the court tomorrow: Sofia Araujo and Alejandra Salazar (4) beat Claudia Jensen Sirvent and Veronica Virseda (9) 2-6 6-2 7-5 and will face France’s Alix Collombon and Spain’s Lorena Rufo Ortiz. Collombon is the only home player still in the running at Roland Garros: France cheers for her.
