Day 3, Coello/Tapia ahead with the thrill Out Stupaczuk e Di Nenno

It was close, very close, for three-time champions Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia to end their run in the Greenweez Paris Major Premier Padel in their opening match. On court number 7, the Rome, Madrid and Mendoza winners lost the first set to Pablo Garcia Rodrigo and Ivan Ramirez, before coming back and winning the match with a score of 5-7 6-3 7-5 in two hours and 3 minutes.

Even worse was the case for the number 2 seed Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno, the Superpibes, defeated 6-2 6-4 by José Antonio Diestro and Javier Leal in one hour and 19 minutes and able to take revenge after the defeat in Rome in one of the most exciting matches of the entire BNL Italy Major Premier Padel last July.

On the Philippe-Chatrier, Paquito Navarro and Fede Chingotto (4) put on a show, as did – on the other side of the net – Miguel Lamperti and Juan Martin Diaz. Chingotto and Navarro dominated the first set (6-1) and won the second at the tiebreak, cancelling 12 of the 14 break points conceded during all the match.

Positive debut also for Fernando Belasteguin and Mike Yanguas (5), who in two sets (6-2 6-4) and in one hour and 23 minutes defeated Javier Valdes and Joseda Sanchez. World numbers one Juan Lebron and Ale Galan, on the other hand, lit up the night at Roland Garros in the evening session, overcoming 7-5 6-0 the Spaniards Diego Gil and Nachi Sager after being down by a break in the first set.

Tomorrow they will face Mouriño/Gomez Silingo (16), from Argentina.
